"Parents Prayer" By James Vinson For all those who have ever lost a CHILD, this is for you! We are the parents of a loved lost one Some to a daughter, others to a son Some didn't make it onto this earth Some made it, just past their birth Some only a few years, and some made it through Into their teens and adult lives too But, whatever the reason that they are gone Their memory will flow through us like a sweet song Always touching our hearts, in so many ways Filling us with their love, for the rest of our days So we send our prayers high above And ask for understanding, healing and your love To help get us through our grief together Because we know the pain will last forever So we ask that you keep them safe and sound Until the day, that we come around And enter the heavens and open the doors So we can meet our loved one at the pearly shores

The gift of healing is an ever-changing journey. The path is sometimes smooth, the road is sometimes rough. But always, the journey is a beautiful tapestry woven of yesterday's memories and tomorrow's dreams. The gift of healing is an ever-changing journey with threads of faith and courage intertwined among gentle colors of hope. And though the road is sometimes long, and our hearts sometimes grow weary, there is joy in the knowledge that we are walking ever closer to the healing gift of peace. By Kimberly Rinehart

World Wide Candlelighting Memorial 2nd Sunday in December The Compassionate Friends are involvrd with a candlelight service that goes around the world. During the service names of our children are read and we light a candle in honor of our children. there are many other readings including poems, like the one I have at the top of the page. It is a very cleansing and heart touching ceremony. And a beautiful way to celebrate the memory of your child.
Memorial Tree Lighting Is held once a year at the hopital in December. During the program each childs name is read , at that time you place an ornament with your childs name and info on it. Once all the names have been read, they light the tree. It's really a beautiful site. During the program other poems and readings are done. After the program ends you light a candle and take it out to the memorial garden and place it there to honor their memory. It is a heart warming way to celebrate their lives

We have to say that TCF is a wonderful group to be involved with. They have had many activities and have had many meetings with different topics of discussion. It is Unfortunate for the reasons we are there, but we are grateful for all the people we have met. They have become Family to us and we have grown stronger because of them. We have learned through one another different ways to cope without our children. And they help to give hope and understanding though our grief. So if you have ever lost a child, Please check out the site to learn more about them and what they can do to help
